East Cliff and Springbourne Candidates

Our candidates

Ian Prankerd

I worked for Bournemouth Borough Council previously for 22 years and was on the Bournemouth Unison Executive for 19 years. For the last nine years I have been a Director of a local mental health charity on a voluntary basis.

David Thompson

I have lived in the East Cliff & Springbourne ward for the last 16 years and think it is a great place to live. I have a grandson living in the ward and I want to ensure that he has a good, safe, and well-provided area to grow up in.

Tina Thompson

I’m a mother and grandmother who has lived and worked in East Cliff & Springbourne for 16 years. I love the area – the diverse people, the links to the railway station and the town centre, as well as being in walking distance of the beach and pier.

“As local residents we are aware of the issues that are
important to the community in East Cliff & Springbourne.
The area lacks a community centre, there are problems
with parking, and we see fly tipping on many streets making
the area look run down. Like you, we believe that the
current council do not listen and do not act in our interests.
Residents need effective representation on the new
council, and with us you can be sure this will happen.”

  1. I would suggest you examine the extent of the unsafe overcrowding in the wards primary schools. It is detrimental to both pupils and staff

    1. Hi Bob,
Thanks for your feedback. Our local manifesto is online if you haven’t had a chance to have a look. I’ve given your feedback to your particular ward and we fully agree that our schools definitely deserve better.

      All the best

    1. Hi Bob,
I’ve given your feedback to your particular ward and we agree that our schools definitely deserve better and overcrowding isn’t practical for a productive learning environment. Many of our volunteers and supporters work in schools as front line educators. We hear you on this. Thanks for your feedback. Our local manifesto is online if you haven’t had a chance to have a look.

      All the best
