I’ve been a Bournemouth resident most of my life, and have lived in Winton East with my family for the last 17 years. I’m a Playworker, managing local breakfast, after school, and holiday clubs, including one at St Luke’s School. Over the last year we have spoken with many Winton residents. One of the most pressing issues people have raised is the increase in the number of people sleeping rough on the streets of Bournemouth. People are also concerned by the infrequent refuse collections and the difficulty in many roads to park near their homes. Together we would work hard to tackle these and other issues raised in the ward.
I am a retired IT project manager and I’ve lived in Bournemouth since 1980, bringing up three children who all attended local state schools. I have been a member of the Labour Party most of my life, as well as volunteering for a variety of other local organisations.
